UniversalSerial v1.2.1 Released

We have released version 1.2.1 of UniversalSerial, a serial communication plugin for Unreal Engine.

Key Changes

This update fixes a bug where Unreal Editor could freeze when the SerialPortManager shuts down.

About the Fixed Bug

Under the following conditions, there was an issue where Unreal Editor would freeze because processing never returned when SerialPortManager was shutting down:

• Running on Windows
• The connected serial device does not send data very frequently

In similar environments, we also confirmed rare freezes when calling the send method to transmit data to the device. This issue has also been fixed in this release.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this problem has caused to affected users.
